NMCI PASSWORD RESET - UPDATE


EVENT: ***New CAC-Enabled Automated Password Reset (APR) Tool Now Available***

DATE/TIME: Ongoing beginning Wednesday, 20 December 2006

SUMMARY:

A CAC-enabled Automated Password Reset (APR) tool is now available for all users who need to reset their NMCI network passwords, used for Outlook Web Access, remote access and for logging into the network if your account is not CLO-enforced. This self service tool utilizes Common Access Card (CAC) credentials to authenticate the user and reset their password. Use of this tool eliminates the need to contact the NMCI Help Desk to request a password reset.

From a Navy workstation, access the APR tool at
https://pwdreset.nads.navy.mil.

From a USMC workstation, access the APR tool at
https://pwdreset.mcds.usmc.mil.


Please note: This tool WILL NOT reset the Personal Identification Number (PIN) for your CAC.
